Demonstrates the interrelationships between Ion Channel Dynamics, Membrane Currents and Voltages.   It consists of 4 modules: 1 Membrane Properties; 2 Ion Channels; 3 Voltage-/Current-Clamp Experiments; 4 Compound Action Potential (CAP).   Membrane Properties provides animations and simulations to basic functions of neuronal membrane properties which are described in terms of their electrical equivalents.   It is divided into: Electrical Equivalents; RC-Circuit; RC-Lab; and Conductance.   Ion Channels describes Structure, Gating Mechanisms and Pharmacological Sensitivity of Voltage Dependent NA and K Ion Channels. It is divided into the following sections: Channel Types; Channel States; Single Channel Currents; and Single Channel Lab.   Voltage-/Current-clamp Experiments provides a virtual lab for voltage-and current-clamp experiments with different types of neurones. It also explains the background and concepts of the recording techniques.   Voltage-/Current-clamp Experiments is divided into: Recording Techniques; and Voltage-/Current-clamp Lab. Compound Action Potential (CAP) is divided into: Principles of CAP-Generation; Time Course; Electrode Distance; Nerve Blocks; and Experiments.
